Just like you wouldn’t leave for a vacation without underwear and deodorant, you shouldn’t leave for a vacation without packing some top oral health essentials. Whether you’re packing for a vacation to Mexico or for a weekend getaway in Palm Desert, it’s a good idea to pack some basic oral hygeine essentials with you.

  1. Flossers

Especially if you’re travelling with children, flossers are a must-have for vacations. Easily stored in your pocket or purse, flossers are the best way to rid your teeth of excess food and plaque that has built up throughout the day without having to pull out a huge thing of dental floss. Plus, flossers come in fun unique shapes and colors that kids of any age will enjoy.

  1. Mouthwash

Especially if you’re travelling internationally, mouthwash is a must. After 5+ hours of sleeping on an airplane, the bacteria in your mouth can build-up, leaving you with less than fresh breath. However, if you pack a small bottle of mouthwash, you can even use the airplane bathroom to freshen up before you land.

Additionally, if you don’t have time to go back to your hotel room between fun excursions, mouthwash can act as an immediate toothbrush, freshening your breath and ridding it of bacteria that may have built up throughout the day.

  1. Sugar-Free Gum

Yes, it might sound ridiculous to include a pack of gum in your oral health travel kit, however, gums ability to produce saliva will help you not only combat cavities but it will help rid your teeth of stains due to things like coffee or black tea.

  1. Travel Toothpaste and Toothbrush

As the most obvious components to include in your oral health travel kit, are a travel toothpaste and toothbrush. Easily foldable and ready to pack in a carry-on bag, these two oral must-haves will help prevent you from having to visit the dentist when you get back home.

Packing for a vacation can be stressful, but having a list of must-haves is always a lifesaver. From flossers to sugar-free gum, these 4 things are musts to include in your oral health travel kit this summer.

This is a great dental office. They greet you when you enter, and give you a status report on how soon you will be seen. They do thorough and professional work on you, so you are always satisfied with the results. And when you are finished, they are generous with their time planning your next visit, and answering any questions you might have. They also give fantastic advice on what you should be doing at home to maintain great dental health.

The costs are incredibly high, even with insurance. I would not go back and not refer anyone. I am going to try to be placed with a different primary care dentist.

He is very patient and kind when dealing with TMD. I also like his techniques he uses to get to the root of the issue and not just patch it up like many dentists I have dealt with before.
